It’s a great day for the start of the Book Blogger Hop: I got an awesome new hair cut yesterday (I mean it: all of the other hair stylists were complimenting my hair dresser), I announced two contest winners over the last week, and I have a couple of great posts planned for this weekend. After a busy week, all of these factors (and more) make me feel amazing, and I hope that you do too!
This week, I want to give you a rundown of what you might have missed, and give you a little glimpse of some of the great things that are coming your way over the next week and a half. This past week, not only did I wrap up two contests, but also I published info about Indigo’s Teen Read Awards and posted a review of Laurie Halse Anderson’s Catalyst. Now, on Saturday, you can expect to find not one, but two posts. First, you’ll get to learn a little bit more about me with the weekly A Bit Of Me(Me) meme in which I participate. This week you’ll learn what my favorite smell is and why, and I hope you’ll pop by and let me know what scents bring back fond memories for you as well.
Second, I’ll also have a fantastic interview to post on Saturday as well. Lesley Anne Cowan is probably one of the best YA novelists that you haven’t heard of yet. She has published two novels, As She Grows and Something Wicked that are part of an ongoing series about at-risk teenage girls. If you haven’t already add these to your TBR pile. As with the majority of the interviews I do here, I’ve arranged to post the interview on a day when Lesley can stop by periodically to answer your questions. Just please keep in mind that she isn’t an expert on mental health issues, despite the content of her novels, so I was asked to remind you to refrain from asking her questions of this nature.
Coming up next week, I’ll have two giveaways, three reviews and at least one interview. Did I say it would be a busy week?!? If you’ve been reading my What’s In My Mailbox? posts and have been drooling over some of the selections I have to read, then you’ll definitely not want to miss these giveaways. In fact, I suggest that you take the time to subscribe to my RSS feed if you don’t already, so that you don’t miss anything. I, for one, am really excited because I’ll be participating in my second book blog tour and my first huge giveaway weekend.
Can’t wait to hop onto all of your sites!
