In the world of The Hunger Games, there is one day in the year that people throughout District 12 dread more than any other. Reaping Day is the one I’m referring to, and on this day two teens from each of the 12 districts are plucked from the place they’ve lived all of their short lives by the Capitol to participate in a fight to the death. The premise is amazing, and if you check out my review of this novel, you’ll know that I really liked how Suzanne Collins executed the first novel in the trilogy.
Unlike Collins’ post-apocalyptic imagining of reaping tweens and teens rather than wheat, my Reaping Day giveaway is more reward than torture.
