YABookShelf.com Celebrates It's 100th Blog Post

4842763942 83275845be m YABookShelf.com Celebrates It's 100th Blog PostToday, as you’re reading this post in fact, you’re joining in the celebration that I have on YABookShelf.com. As the title of article suggests, you’re currently reading the 100th post ever published on my site, and I couldn’t be happier to share this momentous occasion. Over the last three months and (nearly) two weeks, I’ve consistently offered you, dear readers, a look at some of the latest and greatest YA books to end up on my bookshelf. Often you’ll find reviews here. Other times, you’ll read interviews with some of my favorite YA authors, and frequently, I’ve got some amazing giveaways to share with you. However, no matter what I take the time to share with you, I do it with a passion and dedication that I hope comes through to my readers.

As I was writing this post, one of my Twitter followers/followees sent me a few comments out of the blue about how much she likes my site. Ezra went on to say in under 140 characters, “Your passion and commitment def comes through in your work, one of the many reasons why I love reading your posts, so so great!” I was floored. It’s not that I haven’t received positive feedback about YA Book Shelf before, but it was sent at the perfect moment, just as I was mulling over everything that I’ve done with it so far, and of course, thinking about where the future will take my site. Her comment really made my day, which is why, rather than talk about another book I love, I’m going to do my *happy dance* and share with you all, for the first time on my site, my requisite *happy dance* song:

So, what did you think of the song and video by Lykke Li?

Not ready to answer that? No worries, how about the following questions about my site? Like, do you have any comments, whether they’re completely positive, constructive criticism or otherwise? I’d love to hear what you think of the first 100 posts and what you hope to see for the next 100 because though this site is a labor of love, it’s a labor also for you, my readers.

I just had to comment on that video… not something to watch at 6:30am when you have yet to eat breakfast… I think that I made myself a little nauseous from all the spinning, I mean she just kept going around and around! Its nuts!

As for your blog, I think you are doing great on your blog. I just started mine and have about 4-6 posts I think and one fabulous giveaway going on! But I can’t even begin to imagine reaching 100 posts yet! CONGRATS! I am half tempted to do that weird spinning dance with you…. Yes it may make me sick, but it would be so worth it to celebrate such an accomplishment with you.

    Congrats and Keep on blogging

Thanks so much Layla! :) Your comments are always welcome. Glad that my site (and twitter) put me in contact with you. :)

    Hi Mary!

Your comment made me laugh. Sorry for the nausea – it really wasn’t what I was going for! It just puts a joyous feeling in my heart and makes me remember the feeling of being a child. Though I’ll admit that I’m surprised that she doesn’t fall down from dizziness like a little kid. ;)(Maybe you should check it out again after you’ve eaten, later in the day!)

Thanks for the comments about my blog as well, and good luck with yours as well. (I’ll definitely check it out at some point this weekend). Believe me – I almost can’t believe that I’ve reached 100 posts already. It just kind of creeped up on me. I know someone who does a movie review blog – he’s been doing it for over a year, and by his estimation, he’s only reached about 80 or 90 posts. Would LOVE if you joined in on the spinning dance, or any way that the song makes you feel like dancing. If you do, then I’ll make sure I’m there to celebrate your next momentous occasion. :)

Hey, that was a cute song! Sort of relaxing and happy at the same time. I’m going to look for her on iTunes. ;)

Congrats on the 100th post, too! How exciting! Soon you’ll be at 1000. ;)

Hi Cat! Glad you like the song. Lykke Li is great; she gets me motivated, and more than that, she makes me feel like singing and dancing along with her (which is always a good thing imho).

Thanks for the congratulations! Right now, 1000 seems a long way off, but so did 100 when I started, so I’m definitely looking forward to the road between here and there. ;)
