Hopping around from site to site is what us participants of the weekly Book Blogger Hop just love to do. We get to check out other blogger’s sites and make the time to see what has been going on with their sites since we were there the previous week. Jennifer from Crazy For Books hosts this event, and I have to say that I love participating in it now.
This week’s book blogging relevant question is: How many books do you have on your “to be read shelf?” When I saw the question of the week, I must admit that there was a slight cringe that moved through my body. You see, my TBR pile has gotten a little out of hand. It’s oh, so easy to add book after book to the pile. It’s much less easy to get through them all.
Currently, I’ve got 96 books to read on Goodreads, but who knows, the list might get larger as my blogging friends reveal the books with which they’ve fallen in love. Sometimes I’ll even even find myself searching the internet with the specific hope of finding more books to add to my TBR list. There are worse addictions though, so I’m not too worried.
On another note, have you ever heard of Bamboo People, about the war in Burma between the Burmese and Karenni peoples, and other novels by Mitali Perkins about attempting to bridge different cultures? Well, if you have heard of them or read them, then today might just be the day to get your questions answered or to leave some relevant comments for the author. You see, not only am I interviewing her today, but also I arranged to have her pop by my site throughout the day of Friday, August 13, 2010 to answer any and all of the questions and read your additional comments as well. Now’s the time to ask!
