While participating in a great readathon hosted by TheBookishType and BookSavvy, I was thrilled to have the chance to host a mini challenge and giveaway on my site in conjunction with the larger event. I was really excited to hear about books that had surprised other book bloggers and thought there would be a few chances to increase the size of my to be read pile slightly based on the recommendations of others.
One participant in particular really loved The Book Thief, and since I do actually like that sort of novel in general (unlike the commenter), it may be just one of many additions I make. Getting my hands on a copy might just have to be my next challenge.
However, more than anything, I’m really pleased to be able to share my love of Erin Downing’s 2010 release – Kiss It, which was one of the books that turned out to be so much more than I’d originally anticipated in 2010. And of course, the huge pile of book swag, which I haven’t even had the chance to see yet, was definitely a big draw for some of my readers as their comments can attest.
What makes me even me excited today is the fact that my first truly international giveaway has come to an end, and I happen to know which one of my readers had walked away a winner after they were randomly selected from Random.org. Ready to be let in on the secret? The lucky winner today is:
- Kristie from Text and Java
Kristie, as usual, you have 48 hours to get back to me with your mailing address before I have to select another winner. Thanks again to everyone who entered and a big congratulations go out to the winner. Hope you enjoy the novel, the sway and most of all the armband you were so curious about.
