I love that Jan mentions medieval does not start or end with The Lord of the Rings. And I love her comment on speaking with passion:

“When you care deeply about the topic, your heart takes over and a lot of the fears just fall aside.”

    Lovely and true.

Thanks for commenting, Martina! I have so many favorite parts during this interview, but you’ve definitely pointed out two of the good ones.

Melissa, this is a fabulous interview. Love your questions and the answers. I haven’t started this series, but I’ll add it to my TBR list! Thanks!

Thanks, Liza! Glad you enjoyed the interview. I’m glad that you’re adding this series to your TBR pile. It’s really good. Loved the first book last year, and the second book is as good…if not better…than the first.

This sounds like a charming set of books for kids. I love to research, so reading how the author researched to create authentic practices from medieval times made my heart sing!
